Ohio University - Pups at Pedan

Event Rules and Release of Liability
In consideration of being permitted to participate in Ohio University's Pups at Pedan event on Wednesday, November, 15, 2023 (hereafter the "Event"), I (hereafter "I" or "Participant") hereby understand and agree to the following:
- I understand that only one (1) dog is permitted per adult, and that all dogs must be at least five (5) months old and in good health, with no known contagious diseases.
- I will not bring any dog(s) that are in heat/season
- I hereby confirm that any dog I bring will be up to date on vaccinations including, but not limited to, Rabies, Distember, Parvo, and Bordetella
- I understand that my dog must be licensed, and that I am required to have my dog's license and vaccination tag with me during the Event
- I will keep my dog(s) on its leash at all times, no longer than 6 feet, at all times
- I will keep my dog(s) under my control at all times, and I will clean up after my dog(s)
- I will keep my dog(s) in the area designated for dogs and their owners.
- I represent and confirm that my dog(s) is not the subject of pending adjudication or administrative hearing, and has never been declared a dangerous, potentially dangerous, or vicious or potentially vicious dog. I understand that if my dog(s) becomes aggressive to other dogs or people, digs, barks excessively, or is otherwise disruptive to the event, I may be asked to leave the Event and immediately comply.
- I understand that if my dog(s) injures another dog or person, I will be held personally responsible for any damages.
- I understand that any dog(s) attending must be social, friendly with other dogs and people, and comfortable with crowds. Additionally, I understand that I am bringing my dog(s) to a football stadium where my dog(s) may be exposed to large crowds, very loud, startling noises including, but not limited to, simulated canon fire, yelling, and cheering. I assume all risks associated with such exposure, and all other risks associated with the Event.
- I hereby release Ohio University, its governing board, officers, representatives, and employees from any and all liability to Participant, Participant's personal representatives, estate, heirs, next of kin, and assigns for any and all claims and causes of action for loss of or damage to Participant's property and for any and all illness or injury to Participant's person, including his/her death, that may result from or occur during Participant's participation in the Event, whether caused by negligence of Ohio University, its governing board, officers, employees, or representatives, or otherwise. I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ohio University, its governing board, officers, employees, and representatives from any and all actions, causes of action, claims, suits, demands, losses, damages, and liability for the injury or death of any person(s) and damage to property that may result from my or my dog's participation in and/or attendance at the Event.
